 As a parent of a child with a speech impediment, I know firsthand the anxiety and uncertainty that comes with discovering that your child may have difficulty communicating effectively. My child had been in speech therapy for 12 years and still lives with stuttering as an adult. He does not struggle with speaking as much as he did when he was younger.
